Miss Genevieve Blatt, State Secretary of Internal Affairs, congratulated officials of Lehighton Borough in an address last night in the municipal amphitheater, and presented the borough a certificate of accomplishment, symbolic of the community's Centennial observance.George Hein, borough council president, and Mayor Albert Koch accepted the certificate of accomplishment on behalf of borough officials.Service awards and gifts were presented to three borough employees and Wilbur Person, Lehighton, presented borough employees with safety awards.The Lehighton Boys' Band presented an hour-long concert prior to the program, and borough equipment was on display in the community throughout the day.Activities for today include a musical program at 7 p.m. in the amphitheater by the English Handbell Choir of Allentown and a teenage street dance on Constitution Avenue. The Mystafiers Orchestra of Lehighton will provide music for the dance.
