Pediatrician ordered to trial on indecent assault charge

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania pediatrician has been ordered to stand trial on a charge of indecently assaulting a woman while examining her infant.

The (Allentown) Morning Call (http://bit.ly/28ObwI7 ) reports that a Lehigh County judge on Wednesday held the charge against 43-year-old Dr. Jarret Patton for trial in county court. The 32-year-old woman testified that she believed Patton's actions during a Feb. 25 exam must have been an accident but knew it couldn't be a mistake when it happened a second time.Defense attorney John Waldron questioned why she didn't immediately notify anyone and also questioned whether there could be another explanation for what appeared to be sexual arousal on the part of his client.Waldron said Patton's medical license was suspended and he is currently on leave from the hospital.---Information from: The Morning Call,
