The Panther Valley Summer Food Program began on June 13 and will continue until Aug. 19. Food is served on weekdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m.

Children under 18 can receive a free lunch every day except for the Fourth of July. Meals are based on USDA nutrition guidelines.The program is at four locations in the Panther Valley, including Christ Redeemer Church in Coaldale; St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church and the Lansford Townhouses in Lansford and the Summit Hill Heritage Center, the head of the program.Volunteers are needed and any donations are appreciated.No application or proof of income are needed.
