The Schuylkill County Drug & Alcohol and Clinical Outcomes Group Inc. will present "Public Access to Narcan" from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hometown Fire Company.

Dr. John Stefovic of Clinical Outcomes Group will speak on understanding addiction.Ricky A. Ney Jr., emergency medical technician, will speak on opioid overdose prevention and reversal.Narcan, which is also referred to as Naloxone, is an opiate antidote used in the event of a heroin and opioid overdose.The drug can save the life of an overdose victim by countering the effects of the opioid.
