St. Luke's charity ride raises $15K for hospice

St. Luke's Hospice recently hosted its sixth annual charity bike ride.

The charity ride had a record 250 riders.Riders have many reasons for participating.Monroe Berger rode nearly 30 miles and decided to do it for the good cause and the exercise.Courtney Fenner decided to join Paul and Jonathan Fenner because of how the hospice has affected her.She has had three family members who were helped through hospice care.Carrie Oesmann is the owner of Bailiwick Interior Design. She decided to sponsor the event and participated in the charity ride in honor of family who have been helped by hospice.Riders started off on the Lehighton Trailhead on the Delaware & Lehigh National Trail. The Slatington Trailhead Pavilion served as a resting spot with food and drinks for riders to take a break before continuing.This year's race raised $15,000 for St. Luke's Hospice.
