State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating an identity theft case in which a Polk Township man is the victim.

The incident was reported at noon May 8  in the township.Police said an unknown person obtained the victim’s identity through an unknown means and attempted to utilize the victim’s identity to open lines of credit.
