A two-car crash Thursday in Hometown, reported as a collision with entrapment, drew emergency responders and rescue units from the area.
The Schuylkill Communications Center dispatch at 11:18 a.m. sent responders to the intersection of Lafayette and Claremont avenues, Routes 309 and 54, where a Chevrolet Tahoe and Mercury Mountaineer, both carrying multiple children, collided.
One driver complained of an arm injury. A child in one of the vehicles bumped her head and was expected to be taken to St. Luke's Hospital Miners Campus, Coaldale, for treatment.
The Tahoe barely missed hitting a traffic light pole and came to rest on the parking lot of the Furniture Connection store.
More details as they become available.
