Emergency personnel were called for another rescue on state game lands above the Glen Onoko Falls.
Today the rescue included a dog.The Carbon comm center received a call at 4 p.m. by a panicked woman who said her dog was having a possible reaction to something it be allergic to or came in contact with a poisonous shrub.The Lehigh & Lausanne Rural Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the scene. They located the woman with a male companion. The dog, a brown lab showed signs of distress.The couple and their dogs were brought out to safety in the state game parking lot along Route 93.The couple from Philadelphia started their hike in the parking lot of the Lehigh Gorge State Park. They climbed up past the Glen Onoko Falls to the state game lands.
