A truck and a car were involved in a collision along Interstate 81 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County, at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

State police at Frackville said Sheriff Njie, 43, of Providence, Rhode Island, was driving a 2015 Volvo truck northbound in the left lane and Chad C. Baird, 35, of Cogan Station, Lycoming County, was northbound operating a 2005 Volkswagen Passat.Baird attempted to make a lane change and in doing so he lost control of his Passat on the wet road.The Passat struck the side front of the Volvo, then left the road on the left side into the median where it came to rest.Njie was able to pull his truck off onto the right berm.No one was injured. The Passat had to be towed from the scene.
