An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Tamaqua on June 22 at the Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 E. Broad St. Hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m.Blood donors will be accepted between the hours of 1 and 6 p.m.Anyone 17 or older, in good general health, who weighs at least 110 pounds is eligible to donate blood. Walk-ins are also welcome.SAL programsThe Tamaqua Salvation Army has a number of programs and activities scheduled over the next few weeks, including a number of activities that continue throughout the year.On Monday, the Needlebugs quilting and sewing group meets from 9:30 a.m. to noon; gentle exercise classes for men and women are held from 10:30 a.m. to noon; and the Teen group, for ages 13 to 20, meets from 5 to 7 p.m.Tuesdays schedule also includes a gentle exercise class, for men and women, from 10:30 a.m. to noon; men's and women's fellowship, ages 14 and up, from 5 to 6 p.m.The Older and Bolder group meets from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays.
