Two injured in West Penn crash

Two people were injured Tuesday evening in a crash along Route 895 in West Penn Township.

The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. as they were traveling west and a car approaching them traveling east attempted to make a left turn onto Archery Club Road.The driver swerved to avoid a collision, traveling across a lawn of an apartment building before slamming into a parked pickup truck. The car continued down a ditch.The two patients were treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning and New Ringgold ambulances then transported to an area hospital.West Penn Township Chief of Police Brian Johnson is investigating the incident.The West Penn Fire Company responded with their fire police, maintaining traffic control at the scene.
