A male driver was injured Wednesday morning in a single vehicle crash along Route 54 in Nesquehoning. The crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. as he was traveling west and lost control.

His car struck a concrete barrier in front of KME Plant 3, pushing it back onto the lot where it then hit a utility pole. The power wires were arcing.Route 54 is reduced to one lane.The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Nesquehoning ambulance and Lehighton paramedics.Nesquehoning police are investigating the incident.
