Crews respond to truck rollover

At 6:30 a.m., the Franklin Township police and fire departments were called to the parking lot of My Mortgage Store on Interchange Road after a truck rolled onto its side.

A tri-axle dump truck hauling dirt for Stadium Dirt Designs hit the curb near Ohl’s, drove up over the concrete and grass before colliding with a telephone pole and coming to a stop on its driver’s side in the lot.Emergency crews secured the scene. Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Lilly said the driver did not suffer any life-threatening injuries but was taken to Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital to be evaluated.The Department of Environmental Protection was called to the site to investigate and a skid loader was brought to clean up the debris left behind by the rollover.The cause of the crash is under investigation. The right lane was closed for several hours.
