Two people were injured Monday morning when involved in a three-vehicle rear end collision along Route 443 in Mahoning Township.

The crash occurred just after 10 a.m. as a car was traveling west and attempted to make a left turn onto a private parking lot.The driver of the second car stopped, but the driver of a following pickup did not stop, slamming into the second car and pushing into the first stopped car.Lehighton paramedics and the Palmerton ambulance transported the injured to a nearby hospital.Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
