Library eventsAdult coloring sessions are held every Monday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Panther Valley Public Library 117 E. Bertsch St. in Lansford. Stop in to relax, meet new friends and create beautiful pictures. Coloring supplies are provided by the library.Registration is now open for our summer reading program "On Your Mark, Get Set Read! Preschool Program is open to children ages 3-5 and will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesdays or Thursdays. The school-age program is open to children ages 6-8 and will be held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Programs begin the week of June 21. Call the library to register or for more details 570-645-3780.Golden AgersAt the Panther Valley Golden Agers meeting on May 23, 32 members wore their spring bonnets. The meeting opened with an inspirational message by Norma Lee Burke, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of "God Bless America." Patriotic songs were led by Ruth Ann Feane.At the next meeting on June 13, a speaker is scheduled. Due to unforeseen events the doors will not open till 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church Social Hall Members are asked to wear red, white and blue to commemorate Flag Day.NesquehoningRecreation CommissionThe next Nesquehoning Recreation Commission meeting will be at 7 p.m. Mondayat the recreation center. There are still open position on the commission. Anyone interested in serving should send a letter of interest to the borough office at 114 W. Catawissa St.Neighborhood WatchThe next Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch meeting will take place at 7

p.m.Tuesday at the borough hall. All are welcome.
