The regular monthly meeting of the Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 Auxiliary was heldMay 10.

Senior Vice President Christa Kattner presided at the session.The department president's newsletter was read and filed. New holiday costumes have been purchased and the cost will be shared by the post and auxiliary.Sixty cards were sent by members present since the last meeting. The auxiliary is now over 100 percent in membership andreceived a monetary award. Since males may now join the auxiliary,Auxiliary 8008 has welcomed nine male members.District 20 Convention and election of officers was held onMay 14 in Walnutport.At that meeting, it was noted a resolution to raise the dues for life membership will be presented at the National Convention.Local dues have also been raised for the 2016-2017 year.The next regular meeting will be held at 1
