Eight people were injured in a crash along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

Members in one family were seriously injured Monday afternoon in a violent crash along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

The crash occurred near the intersection with Old Stage Road.

A mother and daughter were flown from the scene while the husband and son were transported to Lehigh Valley area trauma centers.

The condition of the second driver and its occupants are unknown.

Route 903 is totally closed with fire police diverting traffic around the scene.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the incident.
