Memorial Parade

Tamaqua's Memorial Day Parade will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. The parade will form at the east end of town and march to the Odd Fellows Cemetery, where the 148th Annual Memorial Day service will be held.The Tamaqua Raider Marching Band will be participating in the parade. Earl Bridygham Jr. of Reynolds will be the parade grand marshal, while retired Army Col. Hank Steinhilber, chaplain, will be the featured speaker.Tamaqua American Legion C.H. Berry Post 173 will provide the honor guard.St. John LutheranThe Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at this Sunday's 9:15 a.m. worship service in St. John's Lutheran Church.The church office is now following summer hours, which are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday.Zion LewistownZion Church of the Lewistown Valley will be host for a combined Memorial Day service at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday.
