Schuylkill County Judge Charles M. Miller has sentenced three people to prison for their involvement in local crimes.
Robert Marcharsky, 42, of Tamaqua: Charged by Rush Township police with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy on Oct. 19, 2014.Marcharsky pleaded guilty to the theft charge, and Miller sentenced him to serve one to 23 months in jail, pay Walmart $153.71 restitution, and to pay court costs and fees.James B. Schubert, 54, of Aliquippa, Beaver County: Charged by Rush Township police with passing bad checks on June 3, 2015.Schubert pleaded guilty, and Miller sentenced him to serve one to two years in state prison, and to pay court costs and fees.Adam Lutz, 29, of Pottsville: Charged by McAdoo police with possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 1, 2014.Lutz pleaded guilty to the theft charge, and Miller sentenced him to serve time served to two months in jail, and to pay court costs and fees.Lutz was immediately released on parole as he has already served time from Nov. 20, 2014, to Dec. 3, 2014.
