An attempted abduction report by a Schuylkill County woman has turned out to have been false and she has been cited.

State police at Frackville said Sasha Grubel, 29, of the village of Arnots Addition, Saint Clair reported on April 19 about 4:30 p.m. that a male attempted to abduct her children while she was walking them home from a school bus stop. The report caused neighbors of Arnots Addition to fear that a male was attempting to abduct children in their community. A Facebook post showing was circulated by concerned neighbors who believed Grubel's story.Troopers said their investigation revealed that Grubel knew the man and that she lied during the investigation and no abduction attempt occurred. Troopers said the incident caused undo harm in the community.Troopers charged Grubel with a misdemeanor count of obstructing administration of law.
