Upper Macungie Township police reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday along Schantz Road.

Police said Rhina A. Montero, 25, of Reading and Claudette L. Lazarus, 39, of Slatington, were both eastbound. When the two got to the intersection with Grim Road, the traffic light turned yellow.Montero believed Lazarus was going to proceed through the intersection. Lazarus slowed down and stopped for the light.The front of Montero's 1995 Toyota Corolla struck the rear of Lazarus' 2008 BMW X3. Lazarus sustained a minor injury but did not need immediate medical attention. Her passenger, a 9-year-old boy, and Montero were not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed.Police cited Montero for following too closely.
