Two cited following fight in Tamaqua

Two men were cited by Tamaqua police on May 1 in connection with an incident involving a fight.

An officer was on patrol at 2:32 a.m. when he saw a large crowd of people watching an altercation between two men in the Pine and Elm streets area.When the officer approached the crowd dispersed and the two main participants refused to identify themselves. One of them then gave the officer the name of Tony Speller, which turned out to be false.Instead, the men were eventually identified as Vincent M. Davis, 45, of 12 W. Broad St., and Edward J. Mokshefski, 41, of 114 Green St., both of Tamaqua.Davis was charged with providing false identification, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Mokshefski was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.Both men were transported to their respective homes.
