Woman's ClubThe Nesquehoning Woman's Club, along with the Panther Valley Women's Club and Lehighton Women's Club, gathered in the Zion Lutheran Church in Nesquehoning to enjoy a spring tea hosted by the Nesquehoning group. President Barbara Priadka conducted the meeting.Entertainment was supplied by the singing duo of Martha Moyer and Keith Bellhorn of Jim Thorpe.Everyone enjoyed the antics and old musical selections of the two.A business meeting followed with the final announcement of the new officers for the next two years. Connie Kravelk will be the new president. The vice president will be Jennifer Drake, secretary will be Ginny Novy, and treasurer will be Linda Paul.Patricia Sasserath announced her plans for the club's 50th anniversary dinner, which will be held on Sept. 12 at Macaluso's Restaurant.Sasserath has been working on special plans for the occasion. She invited members of Lehighton and Panther Valley to attend. Community dignitaries will be invited to the celebration as well as former members.Priadka said that for her President's Project she has selected the restoration of the town's bell.The next executive board meeting will be held at 2 p.m. May 22 at the home of Ginny Novy.
