Surma, a sophomore, walks two and strikes out seven in the victory. The Panthers tally all four of their runs in the second inning, with two of the runs scoring on Chet Michalik's double. Ron Everett also delivers an RBI double in the frame. Everett and John Oransky both finish the contest with two hits and a run scored.
