Monroe Farmers Market kicks off Saturday

Monroe Farmers Market will kick off its new season Saturday in downtown Stroudsburg's Courthouse Square with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. The market is held every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until noon, now through the end of October.

The farmers market consists of over two dozen local vendors from Monroe County or one of its contiguous counties. Offerings range from fresh fruits and vegetables, to locally grown and foraged mushrooms, pasture-raised meats, milk and cheese, fresh bread and baked goods, maple syrup, local honey, wine and more.The market also plans to incorporates a local artists and crafters by hosting a "Maker's Market on Monroe" on the third Saturday of each month.
