Lehighton support staff aids CCFOA

The Lehighton Area Support Staff recently organized a drive to benefit the Carbon County Friends of Animals.

The collection came from all the buildings in the district, including the high school, middle school, administration, East Penn, Franklin, Mahoning and Shull-David elementary buildings.Students and staff donated items that included cat food, litter, cleaning supplies, paper products, treats and toys.The support staff consists of emotional support, custodians, head cooks, lunch aides, cleaners, para professionals, nurses, secretaries, utility custodians, attendance officer and computer technicians.The organization has been donating to community-based facilities for many years. Giving back to the community is what the support staff strives to do.The CCFOA facility is maintained by not only volunteer staff, but also students from CCTI.To adopt a cat or help the CCFOA, contact the facility at
