A Long Pond, Monroe County, driver was jailed on April 26 after failing to pull over for police and fleeing.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers attempted to stop Stephen Rodriguez, 41, along Kuhenbeaker Road for a traffic violation. Rodriguez refused to pull over and traveled two miles before stopping. He was then taken into custody and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, invalid inspection sticker, invalid vehicle registration and no insurance.He was arraigned before District Judge Richard S. Claypool, of Pocono Pines, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $5,000 straight cash bail.
