Inmate charged for homemade weapon

The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that a felony indictment was returned by a federal grand jury in Scranton on Tuesday.

According to United States Attorney Peter Smith, federal prison inmate Davon Perry was charged with allegedly possessing a homemade sharpened weapon in June 2015.If convicted, Perry, 36, could be imprisoned for a maximum sentence of up to five years, and a fine in the amount of $250,000.The investigation was conducted by the FBI. The case is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Todd K. Hinkley.
