Nomination of officers took place at a meeting of the Carbon County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of Retarded Citizens held at the Carbon Training Center in Jim Thorpe. President Gary Curran of Palmerton, conducted the meeting.

The slate, as presented by Mrs. Gertrude Apfelbaum, Jim Thorpe, nominating committee chairwoman, is as follows: Mrs. LeRoy Schatzle of Jim Thorpe, president; Miss Regina Radocha of Coaldale, first vice president; Mrs. Ruth Donlin of Weatherly, second vice president; Mrs. Dennis McGinley of Jim Thorpe, recording secretary; and Richard Hager of Lansford, treasurer.The committee recommended Mrs. Gertrude Heisler of Jim Thorpe, and Stuart Prutzman of Lehighton, be named to the group of honorary members of PARC.
