The landlines at the Nesquehoning police station are currently not working.
According to RoniSue Ahner, borough secretary, it appears that calls are being dropped after one ring.
She said the borough is in the process of switching over service to hopefully correct the problem, but until the changeover is completed next week, anyone who needs to get in contact with the Nesquehoning police for non-emergencies should call the 911 Communications Center non-emergency number at 570-325-9111 and leave a message to have an officer contact you.
If an emergency occurs in the borough and a person needs to speak with police immediately, call 911.
