Weatherly Police have filed felony charges against three people accused in a 2012 burglary where $12,000 in cash was taken from a home in the borough.

After a lengthy investigation, police this week charged 24-year-old Dylan Danko with felony burglary for allegedly breaking into a home on Sixth Street and taking approximately $12,000 in cash back in May 2012.Two other people, 25-year-old Christian Bennett and 21-year-old Jocelyn Tiglio, both of Weatherly, have also been charged. On the day of the incident, May 15, 2012, the victim in the case told police that she suspected Danko could be responsible for the theft, because she had caught him stealing from her house before.Police then spoke with people who said Danko had told them about the theft, and that he had used some of the money to purchase a car and apartment.Bennett told police that on the night of the burglary, he, Tiglio and Danko were in the woods near Weatherly High School. He claimed that Bennett decided to go into a nearby house without telling him or Tiglio.Danko, brought in by police last month, said his co-defendants served as lookouts, and after the theft he paid them $1,500 each from the money he stole to keep quiet about the crime. Two juveniles have also been charged in the case.Police filed charges against the three defendants last week. They charged Tiglio and Bennett with felony conspiracy and receiving stolen property. Tiglio was released, and Bennett is being held on $3,000 bail at Carbon County Correctional Facility.Danko faces felony charges of burglary, conspiracy, and criminal trespassing. He is currently locked up in Luzerne County awaiting trial on two other theft cases.
