Northern Lehigh school board
Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following action on Monday:
• Three-year renewal (2016-19) of the district's participation agreement for Microsoft's Enrollment for Education Solutions through Lancaster Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 at a cost of $11,317 per year.• Resignation of Robert Reese from his position as Slatington Elementary custodian, effective April 15.• Retirement of Sandra Becker from her position as middle school science teacher, effective June 30. Becker will begin her retirement from the district after 17 years of service.• Appointed Jacqueline Schuck as a cook's helper, Peters Elementary School, at a salary of $9 per hour, Monday-Friday, five hours per day, 180 student days a school year, plus additional cleaning days as needed, effective March 14, with a 60-day probationary period ending May 12.• Approved Sabrina Clouse as a cook's helper, middle school, replacing Schuck, who transferred to Peters Elementary School, at a salary of $9 per hour, three hours per day, 180 student days a school year, plus additional cleaning days as needed, effective April 12, with a 60-day probationary period ending June 6.• Approved Courtney Levitt, Art K-12, as a substitute teacher for the 2015-16 school year.• Approved Bobbi Jo Reed as a substitute secretary/instructional aide and cafeteria worker for the 2015-16 school year.• Granted Susanne Hegedus permission to attend the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Implementers' Forum May 4-5 in Hershey, at a total cost of $75, to be funded from the district's curriculum and instruction budget.• Granted Kelly Kromer permission to attend the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Implementers' Forum May 4-5 in Hershey, with the cost of registration, $75; and lodging $188; for a total cost of about $263.• Granted Assistant Superintendent Karen Nicholas permission to attend the 2016 Governor's Institute: P-3 Collaboration: Working Together for Student Success, June 21-23, Pocono Manor, for a total cost of $99, with funding to come from the district's curriculum and instruction budget.• Granted Maria VanNorman permission to attend the Advanced Placement Summer Institute, Aug. 1-4, in Bellefonte, with the cost of registration $975; meals, $60; and travel, $157, for a total cost of about $1,192, to be funded from the district's 2016-17 curriculum and instruction budget.• Appointed Director Gale Husack to serve on the CLIU board of directors from July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2019.
