The Carbon County Labor Chapter will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at 182 S. First St., Lehighton, to discuss a proposed labor history class set for the fall.

Topics would include The Knights of Labor, The Industrial Workers of the World, John L. Lewis, The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, union organizing in the '30s and current union activities.Members will also work on a strategic plan for the coming year.The Labor Chapter welcomes retired and active members of labor unions, and friends of labor, who live in Carbon County or the Hazleton area.For more information, call President Terry Whiteman at 484-274-1540.
