With numerous brush fires around the area and windy, dry conditions forecast for Tuesday, National Weather Service has issued a "fire weather watch" for the entire Times News coverage area.

The watch will be in effect approximately 1-6 p.m. on Tuesday. During that time, winds will reach 10-15 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph. Combined with a relative humidity of about 20-30 percent, there is an increased risk for a rapid spread of wildfires, according to NWS.

Dozens of counties including Schuylkill, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Monroe are included in the fire weather watch.
