More than 6,500 people are expected to gather at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom Sunday to take part in the March for Babies. These families, companies and volunteers are expected to raise $475,000 to fund March of Dimes programs and research aimed at giving every baby a fighting chance. Money raised supports research and other programs to help babies born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive.

The 2-mile route takes walkers through Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom.In addition to the walk, there will be a 5K Run for Babies held in the morning. Registration for the run will begin at 8 a.m.; step-off will be at 9 a.m. Registration for the walk is at 9:30 a.m.; the walk begins at 10:30.There will be a moment of silence for babies who did not survive at 10:15 a.m.Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is located at 3830 Dorney Road in Allentown.
