Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday promoted Jenna Fehr of Tremont as district manager of the Soil Conservation District.

Fehr, who will earn $44,766 a year, had been the agency's program coordinator.She replaces Elizabeth Hinkel of Barry Township, who resigned last month to spend more time with her family on their farm.In a related move, the county salary board named Hinkel as a mentor to Fehr for six months at a per diem rate of $24.22 an hour.In other personnel moves, commissioners hired Brett Paul of Frackville as an investigator in the public defender's office at a per diem rate of $16 an hour.They also promoted Carissa Underwood of Orwigsburg from aging care manager 1 to aging care manager 2 in the Office of Senior Services. She'll earn $16.97 an hour.Commissioners also hired Edwin Jones of Pine Grove as a driver for the Office of Solid Waste at a per diem rate of $13.38 an hour.
