McGinty reports another $1.8M raised in her Senate campaign

HARRISBURG (AP) - U.S. Senate hopeful Katie McGinty is reporting she's raised more than $1.8 million in 2016 for her campaign for the nomination to challenge Republican incumbent Pat Toomey.

The McGinty campaign on Tuesday released the fundraising figure. It didn't say how much cash it had left in the bank as of the April 6 cutoff to report finances to the federal government.

McGinty is running in a three-way Democratic Party primary field against John Fetterman and Joe Sestak. The primary election is April 26.

Thursday is the deadline to disclose full campaign financing details through April 6. The McGinty campaign last reported that it had $1.2 million in the bank heading into 2016. Sestak reported $2.6 million in the bank as of Jan. 1 and Fetterman reported $131,000.

Toomey reported nearly $10 million.
