A young man escaped serious injury Monday afternoon in a crash along Fairyland Road in Franklin Township.

The crash occurred at 5:15 p.m. as he was traveling north near the intersection with Forest Street. He entered the right berm, rolling the vehicle several times before coming to rest on its wheels down an embankment.

Responding were Lehighton paramedics and Franklin Township Fire Company.

Franklin Township fire police shut down the roadway, diverting traffic around the scene.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
