A limited number of job training scholarships are available to Schuylkill County residents courtesy of Lehigh Carbon Community College.
Through the Morgan Foundation, the scholarships will cover between 90 and 100 percent of the cost of several in demand training programs for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed.Awards will be used to supplement other financial assistance, and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are fully spent.The training scholarships are in the fields of CDL, Manufacturing, Healthcare and Business/Entrepreneurship.A series of information sessions will be available at the Morgan Center at LCCC’s Tamaqua campus.The sessions are as follows:• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A), 9 a.m. to noonSaturday.• Industrial Automation/Production Technician, 8-11 a.m. April 15.• Pathways to Health Careers, 5-7 p.m. April 18.To register, call 570-668-6880, or visit
