A Luzerne County woman entered a guilty plea in a drug dealing case on Friday in Carbon County court.
Juanita Gonzalez, 39, of Hazleton, appeared before Judge Joseph J. Matika to plead to two counts of criminal use of a communication facility.She was arrested as the result of a controlled buy set up by the Nesquehoning police and county drug task force.A confidential informant called Gonzalez, whose dealing name was "pretty money" to purchase heroin.The sale was made in the parking lot of the General Dollar Store. She has a pending case in Luzerne County, it was noted.Matika deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report. Sentencing should occur in about 30 to 45 days.Drug countTamir Irshad Abdel-Aziz, 37, of Allentown, pleaded to one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on Sept. 23, 2015, by Lehighton police along Bridge Street following a vehicle stop.Matika imposed a fine of $100 and costs of about $1,000.
