A Carbon County man admitted his part in a robbery in what police said was a "drug deal gone bad."
Jason Paul Tessitore, 31, of Lansford, pleaded guilty on Friday before Carbon County Judge Joseph J. Matika to one count of criminal solicitation-robbery.He was charged by Lansford police for an incident on Jan. 26 in the area of 333 E. Water St. Police were dispatched to the area for a 911 call for a reported robbery. Through the course of the investigation police learned that the incident involved a drug transaction gone bad.Matika deferred sentencing to a later date.In a related matter Megan M. Yarnell, 29, of Tamaqua, pleaded to one count of harassment, as a summary offense, with a count of simple assault dropped. Police said she was involved with Tessitore in the drug deal incident. She has a probation violation pending.Matika imposed a fine of $150 and costs of about $1,000.
