Palmerton Area School Board voted Tuesday night to hire Ralph Andrews as head coach of the girls basketball team. Ken Termini was accepted as head coach of the boys basketball team.

Andrews has been a member of the girls staff coaching junior high and junior varsity under both Don Delich and Rodney Strohl the last two head coaches.Termini, who resides in Nazareth, was head boys coach at Palisades High School the past three years compiling a 27-40 record. In 2014-15, He led the Pirates to their first District 11 tournament. with a 12-11 record.Randi Freed was also hired as an assistant coach in Girls Soccer. They will receive a stipend for their work, but the amount will be determined pending contract negotiations.The board also approved Brian Taschler as a volunteer baseball coach.
