A Monroe County man was jailed this week for breaking into a neighbor's home. Pocono Mountain Regional police identified the suspect as Frans Abbema, 39, of Tobyhanna. On Mondayofficers were dispatched to 8577 Bumble Bee Way in Coolbaugh Township for a reported burglary. Officers identified Abbema through video surveillance on the property. Abbema lives only several houses away from the victim.

Abbema was arrested at his home. Items taken from the break-in were found on the property. A heroin needle also was found. Abbema was arraigned before on-call District Judge Kristina Anzini of Stroudsburg on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, both felonies, theft, receiving stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
