Amber Alert issued for baby abducted in King of Prussia

An Amber alert has been issued for all counties in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Police are searching for a woman accused of kidnapping a baby at the King of Prussia Mall in Montgomery County.

Upper Merion Township police responded to the food court area of the King of Prussia plaza for a reported abduction around 5:45 p.m. Thursday. The Upper Merion Police Chief told NBC10 the 7-week-old baby boy, identified as Ahsir Simmons, was kidnapped by a stranger at the mall.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned black woman between 25 and 30 years of age standing 5-foot-3 and was last seen wearing a long sleeve light-colored shirt, dark pants and black sneakers. She was also carrying an orange purse and exited the mall in the area of the Bonefish Grill.

Ahsir was wearing a bright orange shirt and blue jeans.
