Carbon County court - parole/probation revocation

Parole/probation revocation hearings were held by Carbon Count judges on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who violated the terms of their release/sentence.

Trevor Hunsicker,28, of Lehighton, had his probation revoked on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia on petition of Julian C. McGinley for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed and failing to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Nanovic resentenced him to serve four to eight months in the county prison and must serve the entire eight months. The sentence effective date is Nov. 6, 2015.Dennis Takacs,32, of Lehighton, had his parole revoked on a charge of receiving stolen property on petition of probation officer Derek George for violating conditions.Serfass resentenced him to serve the maximum of his sentence which runs to June 3; and consecutive to a probation period in a second case.ARD revokedTwo defendants were revoked from the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program.Brian Brossman, 39, of Lansford, was revoked on a petition of Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by being charged with drunken driving and testing positive for controlled substances.Stephanie Barron,34, of Nesquehoning, was revoked on a charge of DUI on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.Cases were placed on the next available trial list.Bail revokedJessica Mongi, 28, of Summit Hill, had her bail revoked on petition of Eckhart for violating the conditions of her unsecured bail by testing positive for a controlled substance, failing to submit to scheduled drug screens and failing to attend and complete drug and alcohol treatment.Matika reset bail at $5,000 straight cash. Mongi was unable to post bail and was committed to the county prison.
