A Freeland man with an active warrant out for his arrest was found in Summit Hill during a routine traffic stop.
According to Summit Hill police, officers observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near the Hiles Bros. carwash at 9:58 p.m. Feb. 28.Officers pulled the vehicle over, and as they spoke with Nicole McCartney, 24, of 209 Washington St., Freeland, they discovered that McCartney’s passenger, Kevin Gardo, 46, of 209 Washington St., had a warrant out for his arrest.He was taken into custody and lodged in the Carbon County Correctional Facility.McCartney was charged with driving while privileges are suspended after police learned she did not have a valid driver’s license.
