Art exhibit
The Tamaqua Community Art Center will host an exhibit of the work of the late Robert Quinn on April 7.Quinn dabbled with craft projects, and many of his handcrafted hex designs can be seen on barns in the Lehighton area. He also enjoyed painting space and fantasy themes, landscapes and music interpretations.The opening night of the exhibit will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.The art center is located at 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.Bucket list booksThe Bucket List Book Club meets at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month in the Tamaqua Community Art Center to discuss must-read books.The selection for April is "Fahrenheit 451," by Ray Bradbury.The art center is located at 125 Pine St. and all are welcome to join in the discussion.D.A.R.E. graduationThis year's
D.A.R.E. program graduation will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 6, in the Tamaqua Middle School auditorium.Help will be needed that morning for setup.Zion LewistownPastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Easter Sunday in Zion Church of the Lewistown Valley.
