A motorist was injured Wednesday afternoon when involved in a crash in East Brunswick Township.

The crash occurred as the male driver was traveling west on Route 895 near New Ringgold when for some unknown reason he lost control crossing the roadway, colliding with the guide rail.

Members of the West Penn and Community Fire Company of New Ringgold had to extricate the victim from the vehicle.

He was treated at the scene by members of the New Ringgold Ambulance and Schuylkill Paramedics before being transported to an area trauma center.
