Woman wanted by 3 counties is jailed after burglaries

Coaldale Police have released information about three incidents concerning Christina L. Kieffer, 28, formerly of 52 Fifth St. in Coaldale.

Kieffer was evicted from the apartment on Fifth Street on Jan. 1, 2016. On Jan. 21, sometime before 4 p.m., she entered the apartment and took multiple items belonging to her ex-boyfriend. She called the victim after he came home from work and told him she took the items, offering to return them in exchange for money, food and a ride. He refused and called police. The stolen items were valued at $493.98.Kieffer returned to her former residence a week later, at 5:32 a.m. Jan. 28. She was discovered in the basement, packing a black duffle bag with food items. She fled, without the bag, when confronted by her former boyfriend.In those two cases, Kieffer was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.Her luck ran out on Feb. 7, when Coaldale Police saw her riding in a black Jeep in the area of the No. 11 Hill on Route 209 at 5 a.m. Officers stopped the Jeep on Miner Street.Kieffer initially told the officer she was Brittany Kieffer, but admitted lying when the officer called her by name. In her possession, she had two syringes and two white packets containing suspected heroin.She was charged with making a false report to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia.Due to warrants for her arrest, issued by three different counties, she was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
