Holy Week services

St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, has announced its Holy Week services. Maundy Thursday worship will begin at 5:30 p.m. The service will be followed by the fellowship dinner. Reservations for this dinner had to be made by Palm Sunday. Good Friday worship service begins at 2 p.m. and Easter Sunday, the service begins at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Saturday evening service this week.Annual Egg HuntThe Diligent Fire Company will host its 69th annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the fire company on Centre Avenue. The event is open to all children up to the age of 10 and all will receive a chocolate bunny. There will be prizes awarded for those finding the winning eggs.Rose BreakfastGrace-St. Paul's Methodist Church will be holding its annual Rose Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. April 9 in the church. This spiritual event is open to all women of the ministerium of Jim Thorpe.
